Online entry to the 2018 Hangover 10km is now open. What better way to start the year as you mean to go on than with a run by the seaside? Held around the village of Kewstoke (near Weston-super-Mare), the Hangover 10km helps you to get over the effects of the night before.

This is the first time use of Chip timing for the Prom Series, so welcome to Split Second Timing Team for their help in providing the Prom results.
This means that Results will come quicker and more accurately (after this month's double checking) and a new link below will take you to their Web Site for access.
If you have any queries with the results then please use the email link on the website and duplicated below and we will investigate your issue.
The next run in the series will be 26th October 2017.
Online and paper entry forms are available using the links below or via the Prom Run page, but please be advised that On-Line entries for October's race close on Tuesday 24th October.
Please don't use the online system for any entries after the Tuesday deadline, but it will re-open again after the Thursday's event.
You can of course enter on the night for the single or series at each event.

Prom Teams: 2017-2018. I am currently putting together the teams for the Prom series 17-18. Below is a list of probable participants based on previous years. If you are happy once again to be in a team THEN DO NOTHING. However if you do not wish to be a team member this year, could you please leave a message, simply saying 'LEAVE IT OUT'. See another side of the Mendips. Paul Snelling is organising a Potholing evening in Burrington Combe on Wednesday 22 November. The session will last 2 - 2 half hours and all kit will be supplied. It is anticipated that the cost will be £12. If you are interested then let Paul know.
Sunday 17th September saw perfect weather conditions for the Simply Health Great Bristol Half Marathon as many of our club members donned their yellow vests and lined up for one of the biggest races of the WAC calendar.
First home for Weston with a new PB of 1:14:18, and 40 seconds off his previous PB, was Kieron Summers. A cracking performance from Kieron who was 19th overall and 4th in his category. Having run the race every September for the past ﬁve years. Kieron Summers proved on Sunday that getting older does not mean getting slower, when he won the Oldbury Power Station 10 mile race. Weston Athletic Club’s Chris McMillan wasn’t content with just one race victory in a week, so he went on to bag a second over the bank holiday weekend.
His ﬁrst came at the Crook Peak Cake Race on Wednesday. At only three miles, you could be forgiven for thinking the event would be a stroll in the park, but far from it, as runners tackle not one, but two ferocious climbs over the short course.
