The meeting point for the first social run is at the Village Car Park, next to the Fire Station - it is signposted on Station Road, just off the A368. The landlord of the New Inn welcomes our custom but would like us to leave the pub car park free for customers as it is not very large. Please respect his wishes.
Liz Green is leading the run and will meet everyone at the car park – it has a fab viewing area for chomping cakes afterwards allowing us to wander over to the pub later.
Look forward to seeing you Thursday.
Congratulations to the WAC participants in this very hilly race held on a rather hot day.

Please note that our final prom race of the series will go ahead as planned on Thursday 20th May this week. You will be aware that throughout this series we have had to contend with the major redevelopment works taking place along the promenade. At all times the local council and their contractors Birse have offered great support and this has allowed us to continue using the promenade and Marine Drive.
This month we have a revised 5 mile route as part of the promenade is closed. Please be aware that whilst the route has been checked and measured at 5 miles by our own race management team, the distance has not been ratified by ARC, they do however fully support the race and the normal race permit still applies.
As a special reward for all those runners who have supported us during the prom reconstructions works we will have a special memento for all those who compete in this months event. Also we would like to invite all this months runners to our post race party and award ceremony. Both monthly and series awards will be presented on the night.
I am pleased to announce that our race HQ and Post Race Party will be held in the normal venue but is now in the newly refurbished basement bar at the Pavilion Bar.
Please note that the one way system is still in operation along the seafront and allow yourselves plenty of time to get to the start and race HQ. We look forward to seeing you all there.
PS Look out for the special offer for entries to our next series along the new promenade!!
Malcolm Gammon, Race Director.
Please extend a warm welcome to James Long who has just joined the club.
