Three members of Nailsea Running Club will be on the starting line of what is billed as “the toughest foot race on the planet”. The Marathon des Sables is taking place between 25-31 March 2007. It is a six-day endurance race covering 243 km/151 miles across the Sahara Desert in Morocco with legs of between 22 and 82km - the equivalent to 5 1/2 regular marathons.
